There are two types of ranks in the navy. There are Officer Ranks and Enlisted
Rates. The Enlisted rates are lower then the Officers and they do most of the
work in the Navy. The officers are burden with command and responsibility and
are higher in seniority than NJROTC Enlisted rates. Cadet ranks and rates
correspond to real Navy ranks and rates as follows:
