Graduation Requirement for the Class of 2004
- A total of 22.5 credits
- 2 credits in math, which will include algebra
and geometry. This includes the cration of a new class at Port Angeles
High School entitled Essential Learnings in Algebra and Geometry, which will
allow students not currently taking Algebra and geometry to meet the
requirement and to pass the WASL
- 3 credits in social studies, which will
include 1.0 in US History, 1.0 in Contemporary Issues, .5 in Washington
State History (replaced by World History/Geography beginning with the class
of 2005 and 2006 dependent upon which year the middle schools teach State
History), and .5 social studies elective.
- .5 credit in fine arts.
- 2 credits in science
- 3.5 credits in English with no more than 1.0
credit in production courses
- 2 credits in physical education/health
- 1 credit in vocational subjects
- 8.5 elective credits
- Portfolio requirement is in place beginning
with the Class of 2002
