How Long is the program?

The Fine Woodworking class is a year long course that may be repeated with instructor's permission. The Cabinetmaking and Fine Woodworking class is two hours a day for one year and may be repeated with instructor's permission.

What do I need to enter?

The Fine Woodworking class is open to all students with good measuring and math skills and the desire to learn this fulfilling and demanding trade. To enter Cabinetmaking and Fine Woodworking, a student must have a C+ or better in Intro to Trades or a C+ or better in Fine Woodworking. This introductory course ensures that the student has the needed skills and attitude to perform the independent work required in this course.

What credentials will I earn?

Students completing the required projects receive a Certificate of Completion and will have entry level skills to enter the job market or go on for further training

This program will be articulated with Peninsula College. Students who meet the requirements will receive college credit towards an A.A.S. degree.

Who will teach me?

Tim Branham, who teaches Introduction to Trade & Tech and Cabinetmaking, has a bachelor's degree in Biology from Central Washington University, and a bachelor's degree in environmental conservation from the University of Colorado, and a master's degree in Education from City University. He has taught at PAHS since 1991.
