WHO CAN HELP?

Who takes care of all of the 34,000 items, the computer programs, and the AV/Technology equipment?
Who coordinates their use, maintenance, and storage for easy retrieval? A library of three has this charge.

Ms. Alyse Day, Library Information Specialist
Ms. Day is responsible for the Library Program's support of classroom curriculum through providing excellent library information resources for student learning experiences. She is an experienced teacher as well as a professional librarian, and both roles are combined to fulfill her responsibilities.

Mrs. Diane Horton and Mrs. Ruth Sidwell, Library Para-educators
Our two library para-educators juggle many responsibilities, but the most important one is the supervision of the circulation and proper storage of all the library's 35,000 items and equipment. Student Library Assistants help them do this, and Mrs. Horton and Mrs. Sidwell work closely with the students to accomplish this great feat.
When not on circulation duty, each has specific clerical duties to perform. Mrs. Sidwell (7 hrs.) averages 2 1/2 hrs. daily assisting staff in the Copy Center with machine problems. She also assists with clerical audiovisual needs, and assists with the processing of new materials and computer data entry. Both Mrs. Horton and Mrs. Sidwell assist with the processing and circulation of textbooks during the school year.
