2007/2008 Fun Run Fundraiser
The fun run is a fund raiser in which Stevens Middle School students go to people they know and ask very politely if they could donate anywhere from a dime to three dollars to help raise money for the ASB. This money then goes to support student activities such as Wild Waves, field trips, and athletics.
Every student participated in this event and ran for one hour. For every five dollars a student collected their name was written on a slip of paper and they placed into a drawing. If the student’s name is drawn, then they get to choose from an assortment of prizes.
During the Fun Run Kick-Off Assembly, Mr. Lisk, the principal of Stevens Middle School, got to throw “pies” in the face of three very unlucky children. Now the children are looking for revenge. If the whole school collects $15,000 by the last turn in date, the three unlucky students get to throw “pies” in Mr. Lisk’s face.
