Bus Evacuation Drill

As I heard the bus driver's voice over the system I knew that it had to be some kind of drill. We all got into a neat organized line, some kids pushing and squirming around, while the bus driver talked us through the old routine. Two kids were assigned to help us off, we had to hold there hands just so we wouldn't get hurt. We all shuffled out one by one. I watched after one kid after another disspeared behind the floor of the bus. My turn would come up after the boys in front of me moved along. I just leaped down and was done. No more of this drill business till next year. But at least I kind of got out of school!
That could be what's on some of the kid's minds as they're going through the drill. Kids on the morning of
October 18th (this thursday) will be doing the bus evacuation drills. Just to let you the parents know, the students, and some of the teachers. Just so you know the middle school kids just might be a little late to class. And also for the students who get breakfast you will be a little late for that, we'll have the lunch room keep it open for you if you have a enough time.
