Kids Need Flu Vaccine,Too!

Help protect your healthy children who are aged 2-18 years against the flu ~~~~~~~~ WITHOUT A SHOT

It’s not too late to get a FREE dose of FluMist for your child

Children who are 6 months of age or older and who want to be protected against the flu should be vaccinated. Vaccination is available from your private health care provider or through clinics at the Clallam County Department of Health & Human Services (CCHHS).
FluMist, a live virus vaccine that comes in the form of a mist that is sprayed into each nostril, is a no-shot option for healthy children who are 2 years or older. This year, the CCHHS is able to offer FluMist for NO CHARGE to children aged 2 through 18 years old.

The injectable influenza vaccine (shot) is available for children who are too young to receive the FluMist or are not able to receive a live vaccine due to chronic health conditions, asthma, recurrent wheezing, or a weakened immune system.

Our immunization clinics are held every Tuesday from 8:30 – 11:30am, every Wednesday from 1:00 – 4:00pm, and on Wednesday, December 12 from 1:00 – 6:00pm. The health department is located in the basement of the Clallam County Courthouse.

Please call Ann Johnson RN at 417-2439 if you have any questions.
