This information will prepare you for the change of elementary school to middle school. This will also inform you about the schedule process for the 2008-2009 school year.

         Important parts of this process will be the Parent Information Nights planned. These separate nights are scheduled to ensure adequate space for those who attend. The meeting nights are as followed:

May 20th - Dry Creek Elementary and Roosevelt Elementary

May 21st - Hamilton Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, and Franklin Elementary

The meetings will take place at the Stevens Middle School Library and Gym. The Stevens Middle School staff will be delighted to help you out. Bringing your student will be the most important part of  the night as there is a student orientation (lots of fun, but only for incoming students!) that will be going on in the gym while the parents meet in the library. During evening meetings, administration, counselors, support teacher, and staff will be on-hands to describe the middle school and how it works. They will also be hand to provide a question and answer opportunity.

Also, your student will receive a course description and registration planning form along with this letter.  Please look these over and discuss courses and assist your child with a selection of the appropriate exploratory class or classes.  Please return the signed registration planning form promptly as the scheduling process is dependent on this information.

Next year's schedule will be slightly different from this year. It will have some very interesting opportunities. Please attend this Parent  Information Night and see what these options are.
