Opening Day Assembly

Stevens Middle School Students started the 2008-2009 school year with a energetic assembly. They came in seeing all their friends again with Queen blaring in the background. They settled down and Mr. Lisk introduced himself. Then he called out all the ASB officers to introduce themselves and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. The staff introduced themselves, some receiving cheers from previous students. We watched a video, Finish Strong, about doing your best till the end. We then had a special visit from Queen singing We Will Rock You. Everyone was stomping and clapping along. We finished the assembly by watching a video about walking the talk called Walk the Talk. The Klat the Klaw group handed out there definitions of the seven walk the talk words as the students walked out. Everyone had a great time and was all ready for the school year to start.
