On Friday, November 7, 2008 we had a Veterans Day Assembly. Mr. Reed’s leadership class put on the assembly. They had a Veteran come in and talk to us about when he was serving in the Vietnam War and what it is like being a Veteran. The choir sang Grateful to Be an American. At the end of the assembly, while we were leaving, Mr. Donahue played taps. Leadership also made a flag out of stars with Veteran’s names on them. Robert told us what the flag represented and we learned what Veteran’s Day is. It was a wonderful assembly.
