Natural Helpers

Mr. Brinkman brainstorming ideas to change our school with Natural Helpers.
Camp David Jr. is used for many things mostly their famous camp in July and
August. But in November, the camp is used for a 3 day retreat called Natural
Helpers. It’s lead by LeAnn McComb and Paul Brinkmen. Other teachers are chosen
each year to go as well. There are 48 kids, 24 girls and 24 boys that attend
each year. There are also 5 student teachers that have done the training before
and can help with the retreat.
Natural Helpers is a three day retreat at Camp David that teaches leadership.
Most students go because they want the training so they can help others.
Another nice thing is the students selected are from all sorts of crowds. I know
a lot of kids who have done Natural Helpers and they have all learned a lot and
use those skills for the rest of the year. Students who want to help are truly
Natural Helpers.
