The 7A Joker News –Week of 4/14/08
Beginning this week, your child will be taking the Washington Assessment of Student Learning, or WASL. These are rigorous tests that sometimes take students all day to complete. At home, it is helpful if students:
• Get plenty of rest
• Eat complete meals, including a healthy breakfast
• Are encouraged to do their best
• Arrive to school on time
The tests are on the following days-dates:
• Thursday-April 17, Friday-April 18, Monday-April 21, Thursday-April 24, Friday- April 25, and Monday-April 28.
COME ONE, COME ALL Homework Club is still available to all students. If you want to get your school work done before you leave, need help with an assignment, or just want a place to read a book…come to Homework Club.
If you want to work on projects, do research, or any work you might have…come to Homework Club.
We meet every morning in the gym at 7:45 until school starts.
After school, Homework Club meets Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 3:15 to 4:00.
Please make sure you are ready to work at 3:15. If you need to talk with or get work from a teacher, please get a pass (note) if you are going to be late.
If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Smilay.
